USCIS has now received enough H-2B petitions to fill this year's quota. The H-2B category allows up to 66,000 temporary workers performing intermittent or seasonal nonprofessional nonagricultural labor for a period of up to one year. New petitions will now only be accepted for work due to start on or after October 1, 2005.
