Urge Congress to increase H-1B visa numbers
published 5 October 2005

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) recently sent a letter to Congress urging our Government Representatives to increase access to H-1B visa numbers.  Over 400 businesses from across America have signed onto the letter thus far and AILA is continuing to add names for a second submission later this month.  Without Congressional action, U.S. employers needing highly educated foreign professionals with critical skills will have to wait more than a year before they can obtain this needed expertise.

As more companies are added to the list, the chances of raising the H-1B cap to a more rational level are improved.  If your company would agree to add its name to the list, please advise Jackson & Hertogs before October 19, 2005.
