All noncitizens of the United States, be they immigrants or nonimmigrants, are required to report any changes of address within 10 days of their move. The only exceptions are for those in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status, or those in the United States under the Visa Waiver Program, and whose stay is less than 30 days. Such address updates to date were filed using Form AR-11. In order to facilitate this process, the USCIS has created a new "online" AR-11 form, which allows foreign nationals to electronically update their changes of address over the Internet free of charge. Any individuals needing to file the AR-11 should access the USCIS on-line change of address page at the USCIS website.
