The USCIS has conducted the lottery for cases received under the
H-1B Master's cap. The final cut-off date for cases eligible to
receive one of the H-1B numbers under the Master's cap was April
30, 2007. Only cases received on that date were part of the
random number generator system (the "lottery") to receive the
final available H-1B Master's cap numbers. The cases that were
chosen by the lottery are now being adjudicated. Some cases have
already received approvals, and as long as the case received a
"receipt date" of April 30, 2007 or earlier, these are
legitimate approvals. Cases received on May 1, 2007 or later
will be rejected and fees will be returned.
