CSC opens meetings to include interested HR personnel
published 5 April 2010

Members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association are routinely invited to attend quarterly meetings at the USCIS California Service Center (CSC) as part of the agency’s stakeholder meetings. These meetings typically involve questions asked from the attendees with responses offered by the CSC staff unless the issue needs to be addressed in a different venue or handled by USCIS headquarters.

The CSC recently notified AILA members that we can invite our corporate HR clients to join us at these quarterly meetings as part of the AILA contingent. In order to attend, the HR professional will need to be included in an AILA member’s RSVP for the event. Please note that seating is limited.

The next CSC meeting will be held on April 28 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. There will also be a tour of the CSC from 3:00pm to 4:00pm on that date. The tour provides a window into how petitions/applications and mail is received by the CSC, the volume of cases handled and the overall movement of files. The meeting and tour will be held at the California Service Center, 24000 Avila Road in Laguna Niguel, California.

A Jackson & Hertogs attorney will be attending this meeting. We are happy to facilitate our HR clients’ attendance at the meeting. If you are interested in attending, please contact our office.
