Department of State announced at an AILA meeting that the May 2012 visa bulletin will be issued on Friday, April 6. The bulletin will include a cut off date for EB2 India and China of August 15, 2007. USCIS will continue to accept filings through the month of April honoring the May cut off. No other categories were delineated. It is expected that categories will advance again as of October 1, 2012 when the new fiscal year commences.

If your priority date will be current in April but not in May and you have not yet filed your application for adjustment of status, you should make every effort to file your application.
