USCIS announces delays in issuing receipts for I-129 petitions

USCIS has announced delays in issuing receipt notices for I-129 petitions filed recently. Normally, receipts are issued within two weeks after the petitions are received by the USCIS. However, due to the heavy volume of I-129 petitions filed recently, the USCIS announced that it may take them an additional 2 to 4 weeks to issue receipt notices.
