USCIS announced today that the initial registration period for this year’s H-1B cap will open at 9:00 AM PST on Tuesday, March 9 and will run through 9:00 AM PST on Thursday, March 25 (a total of 17 calendar days).
On March 25, USCIS will randomly select registrations and will send selection notifications by March 31.
As a reminder, an H-1B cap-subject petition may only be filed if its registration is selected in this initial registration process. If selected, the petitioner will have 90 days to submit a full H-1B petition on behalf of the beneficiary, and the beneficiary’s earliest start date in H-1B status will be October 1, 2021.
This year’s registration procedure and USCIS registration fee ($10) remain the same as the previous year.
