On October 17, 2017, District Court Judge Derrick K. Watson issued a nationwide Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the third iteration of the Trump travel ban, which imposed an indefinite ban against issuance of some or all visas for nationals of: Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Chad, and North Korea, and specified Venezuelan government officials and their families. The travel ban was set to take effect on the following day, October 18, 2017. The TRO is expected to be appealed by the Trump administration.
