On April 22, 2016, USCIS issued an update that it will begin premium processing of cap subject H-1B petitions as of May 12, 2016. USCIS had previously indicated that it planned to begin processing of these petitions “no later than May 16, 2016.” Given this more specific timeline, petitions can expect approval or issuance of Requests for Evidence on H-1B cap filings by May 26, 2016.
